The property was owned by the Bartlett family, who owned slaves. There are 36 field stones here, with dirt pushed over them. May not be slave cemetery, an 86-year old man remembers a funeral here for a black person, when he was a boy. By 2001, site had been obliterated by construction of a wayside parking area. No visible signs of cemetery could be distinguished. |
