Ephraim Gentry Cemetery
aka Alexander-Gentry Cemetery
Grayson County, Virginia
Location: East of Independence near the mouth of Peach Bottom Creek
Directions: From Grayson Pkwy (US 58) about 3 miles east of Independence go south on Pleasant Grove Rd (Rt 698) at the western junction with Pleasant Grove Road with From Grayson Pkwy. About 0.4 mile later, just past the Pleasant Grove Church and cemetery continue straight on Church Hill Rd another 0.9 mile to Beaver Dam Rd (Rt 697). Turn left (SE) on Beaver Dam Rd and go about 1 mile to the junction with Old River Rd (Rt 700). From this junction go east (left) about 2/3 mile on Old River to the end of state maintenance and the entrance gate to the Vannoy Farms on the right. Cemetery is on a high bank on the south side of Old River Lane and is accessed by entering Vannoy Farms and climbing the hill to the immediate right of the entrance. Cemetery is not visible from Old River Lane or the driveway into Vannoy Farms.

Surveyed by: Mr. & Mrs. Vance Bond & family, Dr. & Mrs. J.L. Givens & family 11 April 1971 as part of the D.A.R. cemetery project.
Comments: There are at least two field stones outside of the cemetery fence.In 2008 this cemetery was fenced and in the edge of the trees. The markers were in good condition but some were worn and difficult to read.
