Fielden Young Cemetery
Grayson County, Virginia
Location: Mouth of Wilson
Directions: From the junction of US 58 and Jefferson Hwy (SR 16) in Mouth of Wilson go southwest on Jefferson Hwy 1.2 miles to farm gate on the right (north) side of the road. From this point the cemetery is about 0.4 mile north on ridge at the edge of the grass area. Access via vehicle is not recommended. From the gate follow the trail across bridge in field, then travel along creek line, generally north then up ridge line to the cemetery.
GPS Coordinates: N36.588939 W81.362080
Surveyed by: Info from Paul Herndon’s files, with some info from survey by James and Mary Cox in 1991
Comments: The cemetery is fenced, about 60 ft. x 150 ft. in size, severely overgrown with brush and trees and needs cleanup and a re-inventory. The cemetery is not visible from road. This cemetery is reportedly near the location of the home of an Ezekiel Young. That home was occupied into the middle of the 20th century. No sign of the house could be seen during a visit in May 2008. Barbara Rio provided family information.
