Wright Wingate Children Cemetery

Grayson County, Virginia

Location: Barton Crossroad

Directions: From the junction of Pine Branch Rd (Rt 733) & Flatridge Rd (Rt 658) go south 0.45 mile on Pine Branch Rd to a left curve in road. From this point the cemetery is SSE approximately 300 yards on ridgeline on the old Cleve Livesay farm

Comments: The cemetery has 5 pairs of field stones. It is unfenced, grazed by cattle, and not visible from road. The cemetery may hold remains of 2 or more children who died of diphtheria, all children of Wright Wingate.  Story of this cemetery handed down by word of mouth per Vaughn Spencer on 3 Dec 1994.
