Calvin Wiles Cemetery

Location: Shippys Branch
Directions: This cemetery is about a quarter mile south of Highlands Parkway (US 58) on the west side of Shippys Branch Road (Rt 742). From Volney travel about 6.2 miles west on Highlands Parkway and then south on Shippys Branch Road.

Comments: This cemetery is in very bad shape, no stones are standing. Two markers were found on investigation, and the property owners told us that there were nine graves in this cemetery, but they only knew of the two head stones. A large pine tree had recently fallen in this cemetery. The property owners were in the process of cleaning up the debris. The cemetery is not fenced. Info from Paul Herndon’s files also included.
