McBride Cemetery
Grayson County, Virginia
Location: North of Riverside Road on Fulton Road
Directions: The cemetery is visible from Flatrock Rd (Rt 698) but there is no easy way to reach it. Travel south on Fulton Rd (Rt 691) 2.1 miles from its intersection with Pine Mountain Road (Rt 692). At a gate across the road from the driveway at 1024 Fulton Road travel west through the field, beside a large creek, until you reach a smaller creek. Cross this creek and continue up the hill to the cemetery.

Comments: This cemetery is on a hill top in a pasture field. The cemetery has no fence and is in poor condition. Three markers have been set into a concrete slab, with a fourth name and dates inscribed in the concrete. Three other markers are piled against one of the two large cedar trees that are growing in the cemetery. It doesn’t seem possible to tell how many graves are here. There are some sunken spots and other places where woodchucks have dug out large holes.
