Minitree Jones Family Cemetery

Grayson County, Virginia

Location: Providence District

Directions: From Scenic Rd (SR 94) go west 0.3 mile on Riverside Rd (Rt 274) to Minitree Acres Lane. Turn right. The old Jones home is on the left side of the driveway. Walk straight back behind the house, through the field to a gate at the edge of the woods, follow a roadway, through the woods about 0.5 mile. The cemetery is in a clearing at the top of the hill. The cemetery is well maintained and is in excellent condition. Most of the graves have modern day granite monuments. Three graves are marked with funeral home markers and there are six graves marked with field stones. These are said to be graves of slaves and were outside of the boundaries of the original cemetery.
