Pugh Children Cemetery

Grayson County, Virginia

Location: The cemetery is located just beyond the junction of Penn’s Ford Road and Mountain View Road in a field.

Directions: From US 58 west of Independence go south on Penn’s Ford Road to the T junction with Mountain View Road. The cemetery location is at the edge of the field above the junction.

Comments: This cemetery is not fenced or maintained. It lies near the edge of a field and can be recognized by a few trees standing in the field. There are two field stones standing but there are no carved stones. Local residents indicated there are two children’s and one adult’s graves here. One person identifying the children as children of Mr. Pugh who was killed in a sawmill accident.
