Grayson County, Virginia

Location: East of Elk Creek

Directions: The church and cemetery are on the north side of Carsonville Rd (Rt 660) and Churchview Rd (Rt 717). From the junction of Elk Creek Pwy (US 21) and Carsonville Rd in Elk Creek drive about 4.7 miles east on Carsonville Rd. Both the cemetery and church are visible from the road.

Comments: The church was dedicated as Summerfield M. E. Church, South. The cornerstone was laid by Grayson Lodge #217, A.F.& A.M., Sept. 24, 1907. The listing starts with those entries from the earlier surveys not found in 2008. The cemetery is divided into: Section 1 (old section) – west of the church; Section 2 – north of section 1 and church and south of driveway into cemetery; and Section 3 – north of section 1 and church and north of driveway into cemetery.
