Collins Family Cemetery

Grayson County, Virginia

Location: This cemetery was originally described as on Bryan Collins Farm, 1 mile east of Baywood, on Old Galax Road.That cemetery is believed to be on the south side of Old Baywood Road (Rt 626) 0.35 mile east of its intersection with Haystack Road (Rt 636). The cemetery is in a pasture field, a short distance across the road from a cattle barn. The cemetery is located underneath a large tree, on a hillside, in a pasture field. All signs of it are gone now. This location was reported by a man who used to work on this farm as a teenager. At that time there were no stones with names, but there were sunken graves and boxwood bushes growing there, with a rail fence surrounding it. It is located on the former Collins farm. There is an old Collins home place nearby, at the bottom of the hill.GPS: N36.60959 W81.00369
