Poole-Burris Cemetery
Grayson County, Virginia
Location: Brierpatch Mountain
Directions: From the junction of Spring Valley Rd (Rt 805) & Jerusalem Rd (Rt 604) go 0.1 mile south on Jerusalem Rd to the junction of Elkview Rd (Rt 655). Then go right (south) 1.2 miles on Elkview Rd. Turn left onto private road for 0.1 mile and then right. Continue on another private road up the mountain 0.9 mile to the top, at a cabin (in 1995, owned by Mike Phipps). Walk E 700 ft to cemetery. This access crosses private property of several owners.

Comments: The cemetery is in disarray. Most field stones were missing. Names for graves of those without inscribed markers were obtained by interview with a family member, Mrs. Viola Burris Jackson.
