Martin Family Cemetery
Grayson County, Virginia
Location: Southwest of Independence
Directions: From Wilson Hwy (US 58) go south on Harden Rd (Rt 703) about 1.1 mile to Klondike Rd (Rt 702). The cemetery is in a field midway between a house and barn on the south side of Klondike Rd about 0.2 mile east of Harden Rd. The cemetery is on the south side of the road in a pasture field just over the crest of the hill about 500 feet from the gate and is not visible from the road.

Comments: This cemetery is in very poor condition. There is no fence and the stones have been placed in a pile in the center of the cemetery. Some of them are broken and parts are missing. The dates for these are from the earlier surveys. There are at least two more graves marked with plain stones. It appears there are other graves indicated by sunken ground.
