AlbertHobsonHash.jpg
AlbertHobsonHash.jpg1086 viewsThis is a picture of Albert Hobson Hash, son of Alexander Norman & Susanna Caroline (Kirk) Hash, he was born 28 Sept 1898 in Grayson Cty.; died 14 Jan 1992 in Grayson Cty.; buried in the Fox Cemetery beside his wife, Eva Notra Graybeal, whom he married 22 Dec 1922. He was living at the Osborne Motel when I met him in 1990, a very nice & pleasant man to talk with about family.

The lady & little girl (her granddaughter) were from Maryland & passing through on their way to some place in North Carlonia to visit some of her Hash kin. Really didn't get to know her as well as I did Hobson. Courtesy of Harold Hash.

cornettfr.jpg
cornettfr.jpg1075 viewsThis is not a very good picture - nor is it exactly Appalachia, but this is a Cornett who moved from Grayson County to Missouri where he became the manager of a zinc mine - hence the picture. One of his sons, Thomas (Tommy) age 14 was killed in a fall into the mine.

Fielden Reese Cornett is the son of James Monroe Cornett (1831-1885) & Mary "Polly" Ann Cornett (1835-1900). He married Mathilda Narcissus Roberts (Roberts Cove), d/o Daniel Freeland Roberts (1829-1900) & Gincy Jane Cornett (1828-1913) and is my gggrandfather.
