Who We Are
The Grayson County Historical Society (GCHS) is established to promote, preserve, and share the cultural and family heritages of Grayson County, Virginia. We help researchers and families find and understand materials on our site and on related websites. We also have volunteers and resources at our office at the 1908 Courthouse in Independence, VA. Our physical address is 107 E. Main Street, Independence, Virginia 24348

Whatever your experience or knowledge level of the Grayson County, Virginia area, the Grayson County Historical Society (GCHS) is ready to help you achieve your research goals.
The GCHS office is open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., or by special appointment.

We can use your help! There are many ways you can contribute:
