Littlewoodcarsocks.jpg
Littlewoodcarsocks.jpg1114 viewsThe Littlewood's first car, which would take them as far north as Providence, RI, visiting their East Coast relatives during the 1920s, was purchased with profits from their government contract for making woolen socks for the army during WW I. Jack Littlewood, the only son of Herbert and Hannah Haigh Littlewood, apparently festooned the new machine with socks as a tribute. How DID they drive on those roads!?!?
