EastMainandEasyStreets4.jpg891 viewsHere Is a Picture I Have Had since the Late 60's. It Was Given to Me by My Neighbor on E. Main Street. Benita and I Were Living in the Little Apartment We Built at 600 E. Main. Our Neighbor, Miss Lula Shannon, Came over One Day and Gave Me the Pictures. She Knew I Liked Old Pictures. I Had Grown up Beside the Shannons next Door at What Is Now 602 E. Main. The Shannons, Lula and Her Brother C. Douglas, Were Never Married. She Was a School Teacher...I Had Her in the Fourth Grade...And He Worked in the Office at Olin.
Doug Passed Away in 1970 at the Age of 79. Miss Lula Was Born Aug. 20, 1889 and Passed Away on Jan. 5, 1971 at the Age of 81. They Are Buried in the Elizabeth Cemetery.
