Troutdale - Greear House521 viewsThis October 1963 photo by Don Smith dsmith1043@comcast.net show the Greear House. Lee Greear was instrumental in the industrialization of Troutdale, and the incorporation of the town in 1906. This house was used as the symbol of Grayson County some years, as it was shown on the county's stickers for cars. This house was abandoned in the 1960s and demolished in the late 1970s.

Red Rock Mountain520 viewsRed Rock from White Top - Highlighted by snow, the Red Rock Mountain section of the Clinch Range stands out in the distance as a far away marker for what lies below...the town of Saltville. The shot was taken from atop White Top Mountain roughly 25 miles south of Red Rock as the crow flies. At the time, Saltville's downtown temperature was 45 degrees and the temperature on White Top was 27 degrees.
