Galax - Harris Hotel575 viewsGranny Harris, Onnie Allred, Nettie [Allred] Marshall and Lee, Grace Harris, Mrs. Saunders Moore, E.M. Davis, John B and Jake

Also, written there is this note: "Harris Hotel, Galax Virginia--1917"

Also this note: "Building in background Luke Biships Livery Stable."

This should be Lute Bishop I believe.

The photo is not the best quality. Still, I thought it might be of interest to you. Nettie was the daughter of Thomas C. Allred and Julina Frost. Thomas was the son of Suttle, also written Settle, Allred whose wife was Eliza Belton. Suttle was the son of Jesse Allred of Randolph County, NC whose wife was Alcey York.

Julina Frost was the daughter of Stephen F. Frost a Civil war veteran from Carroll. I have a short note about him below. Stephen descends from the Revolutionary War soldier John Frost who is buried in the Frost cemetery in Carroll. I have a photograph of Stephen F. Frost, but it needs to be restored.
