IN 1963, THERE WAS A SMALL POND TO THE LEFT OF PALMER AVENUE WHERE THE SOFTBALL FIELD NOW SITS. AS YOU CAN SEE, PALMER WAS IMPASSABLE AND FOR A FEW DAYS THE PONDS WERE QUITE LARGE. Courtesy of Don Smith dsmith1043@comcast.net
