Eli Whitney Weaver (1840-1923) was the son of Elihu Weaver and Jennie Miller. Mary Ashley Weaver (1840-1918) was the daughter of William Ashley and Frances Ashley. He served in McRae's Battalion NC Cavalry during the Civil War. Lived first on Horse Creek, and later in the Helton area of Ashe County, NC.
