Emily (William Washington Cornett's 2nd wife) came from Alton, KS a few years after William's death to stay the winter with her Son, John Winton Cornett and his sons in El Campo, TX. Here she is seen with William Delany Cornett and his girlfriend in front of the Galveston seawall, built after the 1900 storm that ravaged the town.
