cornettfr.jpg
This is not a very good picture - nor is it exactly Appalachia, but this is a Cornett who moved from Grayson County to Missouri where he became the manager of a zinc mine - hence the picture. One of his sons, Thomas (Tommy) age 14 was killed in a fall into the mine.
Fielden Reese Cornett is the son of James Monroe Cornett (1831-1885) & Mary "Polly" Ann Cornett (1835-1900). He married Mathilda Narcissus Roberts (Roberts Cove), d/o Daniel Freeland Roberts (1829-1900) & Gincy Jane Cornett (1828-1913) and is my gggrandfather.
Submitted by Nancy Pollard, GGGrandaughter of F.R. Cornett. pollnan@earthlink.net
