His parents were Reuben Potter Jr. and Martha V. Lewis. After moving to Oregon he married Myrtle Fae Byers July 16,1917. Conley Potter died Jan. 29.1961 at Walla Walla, Wa. and he is buried at Fossil, Wheeler Co., Or. Mrytle Fae Byers died Sept. 4,1928 at Wasco Co. Or. and she is buried at Wasco, Or. S. DUNHAM HOME. THE BARNES' HAD COME TO SALTVILLE WITH THE MATHIESONS AND OTHER ENGLISHMEN TO START THE MATHIESON ALKALI WORKS IN SALTVILLE. THE MATHIESONS HAD COME FROM WIDNES, ENGLAND. LATER, THE BARNES FAMILY WOULD RETURN TO ENGLAND AND IN 1902 THE DUNHAMS CAME TO SALTVILLE FROM TITUSVILLE, PA.
