The Big Oak Tree513 viewsThis oak tree stood at the intersection of Guffy Road (now Big Oak Lane) and Hwy 601, at the farm of Grover Cleveland Russell. Martha Luticia Ross Russell married James Fleming Russell and moved to the farm just after the Civil war and she said that the oak tree was the size of a stove pipe when she moved there. This photo was taken by Pamela Russell Kepley about 1975.
