Do you know anything about the shape of cemetery stones as to when they were used if you can't read them? I found an old Higgins Cemetery on Crab Creek Road, Alleghany Co NC and some of the old stones had odd shapes. Some looked like a petrified slab of wood while others had shapes I had not seen before.
