wellfields51973.jpg1226 viewsTHE PONDS WERE LOW AND LOOKING RAGGED FROM ABOVE IN MAY OF '73. NOTICE THE SMALL PONDS WHERE THE SOFTBALL FIELD IS NOW LOCATED. THERE IS AN OLD WELL HEAD CLOSE TO SECOND BASE ON THE SOFTBALL FIELD. WE UNCOVERED IT IN 1978 WHEN WE GRADED FOR THE SOFTBALL FIELD. IT WAS COVERED BY A SQUARE PLATE. WE DROPPED ROCKS DOWN THE PIPE AND HEARD SPLASHES. WE PUT THE PLATE BACK OVER IT...COVERED IT AND FINISHED THE FIELD. NO BIG DEAL. Courtesy of Don Smith dsmith1043@comcast.net

Francisfactory.jpg1225 viewsThis is the Littlewood Factory I've not seen any other place. It came from Nelia Sexton's collection and a couple of the ladies working there were Sexton's. I am not able to identify which of the people were Sextons but will keep searching my notes. Maybe others can help. Courtesy of Lonnie Jones lonnie0809@skybest.com
