Louisa Post No. 116, American Legion, was organized in the fall of 1920 with twenty-four charter members. First officers were: H. T. Vaughan, commander; H A. Andes, vice-commander; D. B. Harris, adjutant. Had Labor Day celebration 1921. Have helped numerous exservice men and their families financially, also with their claims for compensation.

To date we have filled out approximately 250 applications for adjusted compensation.

Present officers of the Post are: Jos. L. Wills, commander; I. B. Brooks, vice-commander; H. A. Andes, adjutant.
