New River Notes, a leading genealogy resource for the New River Valley of North Carolina and Virginia, launched its new look website today.
New River Notes was originally launched in 1998 by Jeffery C. Weaver providing New River Valley researchers with a new wealth of information and that tradition is continued today by the Grayson County, Virginia Heritage Foundation, Inc.

Aaron P. Murray Cemetery
Grayson County, Virginia
Location: South of Independence
Directions: From the junction of New River Pkwy (Hwy 21/221) and Cornerstone Rd (Rt 701) go east 0.15 mile to private road on the left (north) side of road. The cemetery is approximately 600 yards north northeast of this point. Access is via private and farm lanes.

Comments: When visited in 1995 the fence was down and cattle grazing had strewn markers. Cemetery was in imminent danger of becoming lost. There appeared to be 8 to 10 graves marked only by field stones.
