On the back, in my G-Grandmother Marilla Anderson's hand: [and her spelling]
" The house where my Father was born, June 22, 1822 - Marion, Smythe County, Virginia - His sister Maggie and little girl Daisy standing in yard - Nov. [blur] 6th, 1901"
If "Maggie" is William Reese Anderson's sister Margaret, she would be about 64 years old, in this shot. She looks about right for that age, in that family line. Her brother never did turn gray.
