Welcome to New River Notes. This site contains a wide range of information about the history and families of the Upper New River Valley.

New River Notes is owned and managed by the Grayson County, Virginia Heritage Foundation for the benefit of all who are researching in southwestern Virginia and northwestern North Carolina.

We strive to continually add new materials to aid in your research efforts. If you have materials that would be of benefit to the users of this site, send a message to GCVHF NRN Coordinator.
