New River Notes — Complete

January 21, 2014

After about two years of work we have completed a major upgrade to New River Notes. On January 21, 2014 we switched in the last of the updated files and final page revisions.

In January 2013 we introduced the new site layout but because there were many pages left to do there was a big red Under Construction on the front page. A year later we've finished all of the pages that were on the original site. Construction is complete. We have a great looking site full of material to help you in your research and possibly entertain you.

Directions: From Wilson Hwy (US 58) go south on Harden Rd (Rt 703) about 1.1 mile to Klondike Rd (Rt 702). The cemetery is in a field midway between a house and barn on the south side of Klondike Rd about 0.2 mile east of Harden Rd. The cemetery is on the south side of the road in a pasture field just over the crest of the hill about 500 feet from the gate and is not visible from the road.

GPS Coordinates: N36.60212 W81.16521

Surveyed by: Mary Harrington 26 March 1992 and Paul Herndon May 1994; updated by Buford C. Wilson 16 Feb 2009

Comments: This cemetery is in very poor condition. There is no fence and the stones have been placed in a pile in the center of the cemetery. Some of them are broken and parts are missing. The dates for these are from the earlier surveys. There are at least two more graves marked with plain stones. It appears there are other graves indicated by sunken ground.
