U.S. ARMY AMBULANCES
in the
PHILIPPINES

The general plans of the War Department provide for the outfitting of all army posts with the newest type of standard army ambulance.

The accompnaying photograph shows a fleet of White Ambulances on the dock in San Francisco, awaiting shipment to the Philippines in the U.S. transport "Sheridan."

Machines of this type were designed by a special board of medical officers who organized the new ambulances "companies." Each unit is composed of 12 motor ambulances and one 3/4 ton repair truck. Many of them in service on the Mexican border and have proved to be very efficient.
