Anderson - William Reese Anderson and Sarah Jane Sturgess-Anderson, 1877 to 1900371 viewsWilliam Reese Anderson and Sarah Jane
Sturges-Andersons' best "couple" photos in my stash of albums. I'd just
title it:

William Reese Anderson and Sarah Jane Sturgess-Anderson, 1877 to 1900

The one in the pink frame is a 'tintype' from 1877, the earliest one
I've found of them. Since tintypes are mirror-imaged, I've reversed it.
[If any Anderson relative out there has a copy, that should be taken
into account.] All images have been enlarged, digitally repaired*, but
not much changed otherwise. These would be Maggie Anderson-Henegar's
oldest brother and her first sister-in-law, Daisy Schrader's aunt and
uncle from out in Washington.

The one with two of their grown children is a crop from a 1900 family
portrait, and the other is sometime between. Sarah Jane was 14 when they
married, and Reese 29. So she would be about 40 in the 'tintype', and 63
in 1900.

Their two children included in the crop from the 1900 family photo are
Fannie [Frances Estelle] age 29, and Ace [Asa Alexander], age 27.
