This web page was established to make up for the gap in solid historical information on the
World Wide Web about this area. Why did I choose this area? I grew up there, and my families
have lived there since the area was settled, but I have been gone for 22 years. It has become a
very different place in the last 20 years, and not always for the better. I also have accumulated a
great deal of historical information about the area, and this seems to be the best way to share
it.
